The voices behind the M&M's are some of the most famous actors around.
The CGI M&M's candy mascots, first introduced in 1995, are some of the most famous candy spokespersons in the world. But do you know the incredibly famous and talented voices behind the characters?
Let's start with Red, the self-proclaimed leader of the M&M's, is often cynical. He's voiced by...
Saturday Night Live alum Jon Lovitz is the voice of Red in the original 1995-'96 M&M's commercials.
Red has been voiced by Billy West since 1996. West has also voiced Doug Funnie (Doug), Philip J. Fry (Futurama) and even Bugs Bunny.
Though he's never voice acted for M&M's (that we know of), Danny DeVito played the human version of Red in a 2018 Super Bowl commercial.
The always upbeat Yellow, a representative of Peanut M&M's, is best friends with Red.
John Goodman (The Conners, 10 Cloverfield Lane) was the voice of Yellow from 1995-'96.
Since 1996, the voice of Yellow is performed by Law and Order's J.K. Simmons.
The cool and confident Blue is the mascot for Almond M&M's.
The character Blue was voiced by Phil Hartman (SNL, NewsRadio) from 1995 up until his death in 1998.
Commercial actor Robb Pruitt, seen here in an ad for Miller beer, has voiced Blue since 1998.
The beautiful Green, the first ever female M&M's character, is a mascot for Mint M&M's.
Green's voice actress Cree Summer has also lent her talents to bring Penny (Inspector Gadget), Numbuh 5 (Codename: Kids Next Door) and Susie Carmichael (Rugrats) to life.
The perpetually stressed and nervous Orange represents the Pretzel and Crispy varieties of M&M's.
Kirchberger, the lone voice of Orange, is a comedian, actor and screenwriter. He's also appeared in a number of commercials, including the Sprint ad seen here.
The sophisticated, all-business Ms. Brown was introduced in 2012 as M&M's Chief Chocolate Officer.
The voice of Ms. Brown is none other than singer, actress and former Miss America Vanessa Williams.
The newest M&M's character, Caramel, is a bit of a square. (And also a cube.)
Caramel is voiced by Arrested Development actor and stand-up comedian David Cross. Cross is also the voice of Crane in the Kung Fu Panda films.
The M&M's Pretzel is often seen alongside Orange. Or inside Orange.
In addition to his work in commercials, Maurice LaMarche is the voice actor behind Egon (The Real Ghostbusters), The Brain (Animaniacs) and Calculon (Futurama).
