Age: 14
Since 10, she's posted more than 50 videos on YouTube with the help of her mom, gaining over 13 million views. After sharing a Meghan Trainor cover, Aaliyah forged a friendship with the pop star when Meghan saw the video online.

Aliyah Moulden, Team Blake

Age: 15
Music helped Aliyah find herself in high school, when her mother signed her up for vocal lessons. She's opened for artists including Todrick Hall and she sang in the BET Experience at the L.A. Convention Center last year.

Anatalia Villaranda, Team Alicia

Age: 16
Her career began with her entertaining her Filipino family, then doing shows at age 10 across Southern California. At 11, she joined 5LP -- an R&B/Pop group that stands for Five Little Princesses -- which participated in Nickelodeon summer mall tours. The group parted ways when a record deal fell through.

Age: 22
Ashley has been pursuing music since middle school, when she attended a fine arts magnet school in Augusta, Ga. Later, she juggled school and music while helping her father, who was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

Age: 14
Brennley grew up listening to country music and performing in school talent shows -- known for her signature move of throwing her pink cowgirl hat into the audience. She recently was cast as Lilly on the animated show Sophia the First.

Age: 26
A former student and teacher at the School of Rock in Kansas City, Casi has performed with her family throughout the Midwest; she later started the band InLike. She's opened for Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts among others.

Age: 26
Part of a family band called the Blue Family, his group -- later renamed the Blues Brothers -- has performed across the Midwest and later at the Bobby Jones Gospel Show on BET. For the past six years, he has worked as a worship leader at church. That's how he met his fiancée, Stephanie, who's been battling bone marrow cancer most of her life.

Hanna's musically inclined family includes a dad in a barbershop quartet and a grandfather who played with the Osmonds and several jazz artists. She teaches piano to 13 students.

Introduced to classic blues at a young age by his father, Jessie nearly got to collaborate with Prince; after many auditions, he got to play for Judith Hill, whom Prince was producing. Prince's sudden death ended the possibility of working alongside the legend, but the experience amplified Jesse's passion for music.

Age: 17
Homeschooled so that he could focus on music, Josh graduated high school at 15 and has been working as a full-time musician with his dad booking gigs and traveling to various locations in Arizona to perform.

Lauren spent years touring Michigan and performing classic country hits with the band JR Country Band. Though she focused on dentistry from age 12 through college, she later moved to Nashville where she could pursue music full-time.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Lilli moved to Hollywood to pursue acting, landing various roles such as a guest spot on NBC's Go On.

After winning a singing contest for Justin Bieber's movie Never Say Never he realized his potential to make it in music, giving him the confidence to lose weight and create YouTube covers with friends.

Age: 13
Quizz, who's been fighting lung disease and a bone disorder since childhood, started singing in church. He's been featured in many shows, including NBC's The Player where he performed opposite Wesley Snipes.

Age: 27
Kicked out of home at 18 for being gay, Stephanie moved to Houston with a cheap car and a guitar where she worked in the Baylor College of Medicine and became a published author in the International AIDS Society. She plays with local band Colonial Blue and has been engaged to her fiancé, Janeth, for a year.

Age: 31
In college, he played with co-workers at a restaurant and joined a band, In like Lions. Three years ago, he met his girlfriend and moved to New York so they could make music together. He quit his job as an aerobics instructor to focus on music full time after some of his music found popularity on Spotify.

Age: 29
Singing in his college's gospel choir earned TSoul the opportunity to perform all over Europe, including for the Pope at the Vatican. At 20 years old, with no job and no backup plan, TSoul committed to following his dream of music completely - couch surfing with friends in New York and Atlanta.

Vanessa Ferguson, Team Alicia

Age: 31
Raised by her grandmother, Vanessa enrolled in piano lessons at age 5 and competed in her first competition in fifth grade. In 2011, she moved to Beijing, where she performed six nights a week; later she toured the world with the BB King All-Star band. She's been supporting herself with music only for the past 11 years.
