Hit

Alison Brie looks fresh in this white Victoria Beckham. Though we often decry the nude shoe, this one is actually snakeskin-textured and has a different toned strap and heel, which give it some flair.

Miss

Cobie Smulders perfectly demonstrates how this much red can be a tricky choice on the red carpet. The long sleeves, the floor-sweeping length, the cheap ruffle at the bottom — it's over the top.

Hit

Despite the Swiss Miss hair and the odd peplum detail in the middle, we're still liking Scarlett Johansson's Prada dress and red Christian Louboutins.

Hit

Does Elizabeth Banks have a new stylist? Beginning with her Hunger Games promotional stops, she's been taking some fashion risks, wearing similarly colorful and attention-getting outfits. We approve.

Hit

OK, a one-shoulder black satin sheath is not the most creative dress in the world, but it fits Jennie Garth well and we like the charcoal metallic pumps and silver metallic nail polish as accents.

Miss

Kate Mara has a very different style from little sister Rooney, but it's equally apropos. She tends toward classic looks with a nod to modern trends — like the flared cap sleeves on this otherwise conventional red sheath. We like the delicate look of laces rather than straps on these sandals.

Draw

We were about to give Katy Perry an outright hit for wearing something pretty (a delicately patterned ivory Temperly London gown) instead of cartoon-ish, but what's with the dangling strap? She always has to have a gimmick, it seems.

Miss

Gingerly displaying one spring sandal does nothing to mitigate Leelee Sobieski's severe, wintry getup.

Hit

We like the way Olivia Wilde's safari print subs in for the floral one more traditionally seen in this type of maxi dress. The gold clutch and the much-blonder 'do go well with this look.

Miss

This one is way too easy to judge, as there's not really anything at all to like about Rita Wilson's look. The painful-looking boob harness, the crumpled satin ruching, the too-tiny bag, the severe hair... you do the rest. We're tired.

Miss

While we generally appreciate Sheryl Crow's California beachy style, this dress just looks like a beach towel.

Miss

The bodice of Scarlett Johansson's Versace dress is vaguely armor-ish, and we dislike the way her hair is styled to echo it's shape. Cute shoes, but this look requires something less dainty.

Hit

Robert Downey Jr. takes great pleasure in sartorial experiments, and this purple suit (with glasses tinted to match!) is a good example. There are very few gentleman that could get away with this type of behavior, but we think he does. He is aided by the missus, who seems to favor little black dresses — all the better to let this peacock flaunt his feathers.

Miss

This dress makes Aisha Tyler look oddly short-waisted. In fact, everything about this looks too short or small. Throwing these secretarial pumps into the mix did not fix anything.
15 of 35 Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic.com

Hit

Cobie Smulders is wearing a uniquely gorgeous Donna Karan gown. The cut-out pattern of the black over orange silk is reminiscent of the wing patterns on Monarch butterflies. Perfect for spring.
16 of 35 Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic.com

Draw

Bella Thorne's black and cobalt dress is gorgeous, but maybe a bit racy for a 14-year-old? We think it's the combination of the deep V and the super-high slit (not obvious from this particular photo). It also looks a bit too long.
17 of 35 Paul Morigi/WireImage.com

Miss

Anna Chlumsky is right on trend with this color (hot pink and bright orange are huge for spring), but the red pumps and slit sleeves spoil the look.

Draw

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' hair and makeup are lovely, and though we tire of the lace dress, it does suit her. A black slip and strappier shoes (ditch the chunky-looking slingbacks) would polish up this outfit.

Miss

Charlize Theron doesn't have to do much of anything to look good, but we'd like to see a little more effort. The clean, bold design of this Stella McCartney dress is a great starting point, but black booties? And the barely-there hair and makeup don't stand up to this bright cobalt.

Miss

Renee Olstead tries her hand at jump-starting a new spring fashion trend — let's call it military-meets-hooker. Everyone ready to jump on that bandwagon?
21 of 35 Tim Whitby/Getty Images

Hit

Emily Blunt is simply stunning in this Carolina Herrera dress. Her hair and makeup are polished and pretty and the satin peep-toe pumps are the perfect shoe.

Hit

Nicole Scherzinger's navy dress and pumps provide a nice departure from the more standard black with black. The little sparkle on the dress and the ivory python-patterned clutch add interest.
23 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Draw

Carrie Underwood's Abed Mahfouz gown is perfectly acceptable, but that's about the only commentary it inspires.
24 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Miss

LeAnn Rimes is not the only celeb that we've seen wearing this awkwardly designed Stella McCartney dress. It's not working for any of them.
25 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Miss

Laura Bell Bundy's silver lace gown is just cheap looking.
26 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Draw

This sheath dress is a cute look for Martina McBride, but it's just a little too daytime casual.
27 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Hit

Yes, the fish-scale pattern does give it a bit of a mermaid feel, but this halter neckline and rich gold color are just so flattering on Miranda Lambert. And we love her hair styled in soft waves.
28 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Hit

Jennifer Nettles is most often spotted in dark or neutral colors, so this nearly neon gown is a big surprise — bright colors are her friend! The sheer vertical cutouts down the front make her look especially long and lean.
29 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Hit

Nicole Kidman is wearing one of Hollywood's favorite designers — L'Wren Scott — known for her form-fitting yet ladylike dresses. The skinny-strap red heels really accent the look. (For a little fashion exercise, imagine that she is instead wearing the clunky nude pumps every other celeb seems to be sporting these days. It doesn't work as well, does it?)
30 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Miss

Sara Evans adds the ubiquitous uni-sleeve in an attempt to "modernize" a dress that otherwise just screams '80s prom gown.
31 of 35 Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Hit

In a total 180 from her usual twee princess gowns, Taylor Swift goes grown-up in this sleek dress by J. Mendel. Love the straight hair and bangs.
32 of 35 Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

Draw

Jennifer Love Hewitt has realized how well the bandage dress works for her figure. Which is fine, but that's really ALL she wears now. We'd like to see her experiment a little.
33 of 35 Larry Busacca/Bravo/Getty Images

Hit

Kathy Griffin has never looked so good. This dark floral is a great change from the solid — and sometimes garish — jewel-tones she usually favors. The flounced hem and tea length are nice touches. We are noticing a lighter hand with the makeup as well.
34 of 35 Ben Gabbe/Getty Images

Hit

The narrow slashes add some sexy flair to Vanessa Williams' otherwise conservative sheath dress and low T-strap sandals.
35 of 35 Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.com

Hit

No evidence here of the slight fit problems that sometimes plague Jennifer Hudson. She looks effortlessly pretty in this peach strapless dress.
