Frances Fisher appears to have stepped right off the set of a '70s vampire movie.

This seems to be one of those dresses that is cute in theory, but once you see it on a real live person — Jennifer Lawrence, for example — it doesn't quite work. The dropped waist and cap sleeves make it seem a bit juvenile. It's probably more suited to one of the tween actresses.

We're loving that folks are experimenting more with color in their accessories. Cobie Smulders' well-fitted, but simple navy dress acts as a neutral canvas for the addition of a sunny yellow clutch and turquoise sandals.

There is something rather shapeless about Brooke Burns' sequined dress that the cut-out sleeves only serve to emphasize. The gold satin clutch has a cheesy look to it and the shoes seem to belong to a more casual outfit.

Judy Greer's skirt seems to be a size too big. This style is more flattering sitting at the waist, rather than drooping to hip level. A more fitted t-shirt might help as well.

Tara Reid attempts to class it up for a change, but that doesn't mean we have to like it. This just looks like a bad bridesmaid's gown.

Yet another black lace dress on the red carpet, but we could see Sarah Paulson's dress having a unique '30s appeal due to it's construction and length. But not with those shoes! A strappy vintage style sandal would be so much better here.

The silhouette of this Naeem Khan dress suits Emily Blunt perfectly, as does her sleek bob. We're not huge fans of the bows on the ankles of these sandals, but it all works so well together we're going to give it a pass.

6-foot tall Elle Macpherson may be the only lady we can think of that can carry off a long, shiny, wide-legged white suit. But oh, she does.

We almost didn't recognize Megan Fox in this understated bit of beaded elegance. It's quite lovely — until you get to the shoes. These clunky two-toned pumps are all wrong.

Although this is a more casual appearance, Amy Poehler looks so cute here that we had to post this one. A simple plaid dress becomes a "look" with the additions of tights, suede booties and a cute tab collar leather jacket.

Mena Suvari is also very well-suited to the strapless, full-skirted dress style. The red lipstick and red patent pumps are all she needs in the way of accessories.

We realize that Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant and trying to draw attention to her face rather than her figure. But this frilly collar is just too much.

Mila Kunis balances out this almost-too-sweet pink lace dress with a sleek modern coat.

Again with the lace, but the striking midnight blue color of Megan Hilty's dress is so much more interesting than black. Dare we way she looks smashing?

And here we have a rather poor execution of the lace trend. Red lace alone lingers on the border of tackytown, but Kylie Minogue sends it all the way there with this one-shouldered, fringed dress.

Although you can't see her dress, Martha Plimpton shows that a well-chosen basic — like this neutral-colored military-styled coat — can really create a look on its own.

Hannah Simone's high-waisted pants and simple silk blouse seem a bit blah to us for a red carpet event. More striking jewelry or accessories might have helped here.

Ashlee Simpson has perfected the chic rock chick look with her worn vintage T-shirt, cropped leather jacket and leopard shoes. The small green leather bag is a great choice.

From the pink and red to the pattern and the angled zipper detail, Kate Upton's dress just looks a bit cheap to us. The chunky platforms only serve to emphasize this reaction.

This is only a hit because Zooey Deschanel is wearing this dress. She's at least pushing the boundaries of the saccharine, girly look she usually favors. But yes, on any one else this would be a rather dull outfit.
