Counting the ways to love Zachary Levi

There are plenty of reasons everyone is enamored with Zachary Levi. Already every nerdy girl's crush, Zachary will soon be everyone's hero as well as he fights to save the world in the new Heroes Reborn.

1. He's Chuck!

Zach Levi has gone on to play great roles, but in our heart of hearts, he'll always be that Buymore techie turned Intersect-powered super spy from the action comedy series Chuck.

2. He's part of one of the best onscreen geek couples

With Chuck co-star Yvonne Strahovski, Zach Levi won the 2011 TV Guide Award for (spoiler alert!) Favorite Couple Who Have -- gotten together, that is.

3. He's soon to be a major TV superhero... or supervillain

He stars as Luke Collins in the highly anticipated Heroes Reborn miniseries. Perhaps the biggest question lies in whether he's more of a Peter Petrelli-type hero or a Sylar-esque villain.

5. Before joining the Heroes universe, Levi was a fan just like the rest of us

In a statement at the Television Critics Association winter previews, Zach Levi said, "One of my first, and fondest, memories of joining the NBC family in 2007 was having the pleasure of getting to know Tim Kring, and the cast of Heroes. I was a fan of their collective work and always thought it was such a fantastic and fun world they got to play in."

6. He wants the Chuck movie to happen just as much as you do

With multiple press comments, announcements, and tweets, Zach Levi has made it clear that he's definitely on board for a Chuck movie, though financing remains the biggest obstacle. Hey, if Entourage and Veronica Mars can do it, Chuck has a fighting chance!

7. He's got the press tour thing down

If he ever did need to promote, say, a film adaptation of Chuck, he'd know the ropes. His recent visit to Comic-Con 2015 (for Heroes Reborn) wasn't his first, and surely won't be his last.

8. He’s officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In Thor: The Dark World, Zach Levi joined the epic Marvel movie and TV-verse as handsome swashbuckler Fandral, taking over for Once Upon A Time's Joshua Dallas, who played the role in Thor.

9. He rages for the Nerd Machine

Not content with producing shows and movies geeks love, Zach Levi co-founded The Nerd Machine, a site dedicated to all things nerdy with articles, podcasts, videos, merchandise, and charity events.

10. He hosts the celebrity-filled geek haven, Nerd HQ

Zach presents a nerd culture event held in San Diego at the same time as Comic-Con, the highlight of which are celebrity panels (past special guests include Castle's Nathan Fillion and Thor: The Dark World co-star Tom Hiddleston, among others) with proceeds going to Operation Smile.

11. He’s a geek who drinks

Trivia fans rejoice: Zach is set to represent the best and brightest found at the weekly pub quiz in hosting Syfy's new game show, Geeks Who Drink.

12. He's even the king of history buff nerds

Well, sort of. Zach will guest star on Hulu's Deadbeat as the one and only Abraham Lincoln. That being said, as Deadbeat centers on a slacker medium helping ghosts with their unresolved issues, we doubt it will be very historically accurate.

13. He can also rep for the theater nerds

Zach Levi made it to the Great White Way in the musical romantic comedy, First Date, starring opposite Smash's Krysta Rodriguez.

14. He's dreamy

Did we mention that Zach looks excellent, no tuxedo required? (We're not complaining about the tux, though!)

15. He’s a Disney star

Voicing Flynn/Eugene in Disney's Rapunzel animated musical film Tangled, Zach joined the coveted ranks of playing the love interest to a bonafide Disney princess. With the recent announcement of a Tangled TV series, Levi will reprise his role alongside Mandy Moore who voices the long-locked beauty.

16. He scored major points with (board) gamers as the narrator for the Monopoly documentary

In Under the Boardwalk, Zach tells the story of how one of the most popular (and frustrating!) board games was born.

17. Still, Levi has street cred with video gamers, too

If you've thought you've heard his voice when playing Halo: Reach, Fallout: New Vegas, and/or Tomb Raider, you're not hallucinating from too much screen time. He provided vocals on all three popular games.
