Jenna Marshall has had the most motive to torment the girls from the beginning. Why wouldn't she exact revenge for them blinding her? She came back to town for Ali's (Sasha Pieterse) "funeral" and she always seems to be involved in the plans to ruin the girls' lives. It turned out she wasn't the first or second A, but we know that she's definitely hanging out with A.D. now.

No one may have suspected Mona to be the original A, but once she took off that black hood at the end of Season 2, the Liars never felt like they could trust her again. It doesn't matter what Mona has done since, even if it is to literally save the girls from their own destruction, she's still on the suspect list.

Toby was originally thought to be A back in Season 1, and then later on became the second-most painful suspect who doubled as a boyfriend for one of the Liars when he joined Team A to try and get more intel for the girls. We spent weeks feeling gutted that Toby was wearing a black hoodie, but at the end of the day he loves Spencer (Troian Bellisario) too much to be the one ruining the girls' lives.

It would have been quite the twist if Spencer had been the one behind all of the attacks on her friends, but sorry folks. It turns out she also just joined Team A to help get some intel about what the master stalker was planning.

Ian Thomas was a grade-A creep who started the "N.A.T. Club" with Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker) when they were in high school, secretly filming their fellow students for never-fully-explained reasons. He did try to kill Spencer once when she got too close to discovering his former crimes, but eventually the real A got to him instead.

Noel Kahn was an A suspect several times. He always seemed to know too much and be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He turned out to be a pawn in A's ultimate game and got wrapped up in the same business once A.D. took over in Season 6. Unfortunately, A.D. is a lot more serious and Noel's tangoing with darkness led to him getting beheaded in the middle of Season 7.

Lucas fits the FBI profile of someone that would be A -- a lonely kid who gets picked on in school but possesses the tech skills to pull off the text stalking the girls have endured. It would have totally made sense for him to be A, but it turns out he was just being blackmailed because of his proximity to the Liars.

Let's face it, Melissa has always been shady. She's the one who buried Alison in the DiLaurentis backyard when she thought Spencer was the killer, but it turns out that was just her way of being a protective big sister. Melissa may have terrible taste in men and boyfriends, but she's no cyber stalker.

A is for Alison, right? That's how all of this started. It was hard not to suspect Alison of being the tormentor after it was revealed she was still alive in Season 4. It turns out that Alison was running from the same tormenter as the girls and has since been trying to turn over a new leaf.

It's shocking it took the Liars as long as it did to suspect Jason -- the brother of their allegedly deceased friend -- as the one who would want revenge for Alison's death. Basically everyone in the DiLaurentis family was a suspect at some point. While Jason wasn't the DiLaurentis under the hood, it doesn't change the fact that family is weird.

Creepy cop alert! Wilden was weird from the time he slept with Hanna's (Ashley Benson) mom until his gnarly death in Season 6. It turned out he too was blackmailed by A into the terrible things he did to the girls but he was never the one actually pulling the puppet strings.

Garrett was not only part of the "N.A.T. Club" as well, but he also struck up a romantic relationship with Jenna Marshall. In the world of Pretty Little Liars, if you're dating a suspect you are also considered a suspect. Garrett did a lot of questionable things as a Rosewood police officer, but it turns out he was just as much of a pawn as Jenna was.

Sara was stuck in the dollhouse with all of the girls so she avoided all of the A paranoia, but when CeCe (Vanessa Ray) turned up dead in Season 6, she became the numero uno suspect for A.D. Unfortunately, Sara's loyalty didn't prove to be strong enough for the new "Uber A" and she was killed off by the end of the season.

It's hard to imagine Paige as an "A" suspect since we love her so much now, but in her early days on the show she was violent and impulsive. She almost drowned Emily (Shay Mitchell) to keep her spot as captain of the swim team and she has never liked Alison -- so it made sense that she might be the one trying to take down the Liars. That all changed once she and Emily officially became a couple, though.

It's that Jenna connection again. Anyone Jenna Marshall has ever seen having a private conversation with is on this list. Nigel was Jenna's eyes at the start of Season 4, making him suspicious by default. He was another dead end, though.

Not only did Wren have a creepy habit of hitting on the Liars, but he also spent a lot of time working at The Radley. That put him in close proximity to Mona and a lot of the other A suspects. We also saw Wren making more than one suspicious phone call and many fans were sure that he'd ultimately be revealed as A in Season 6. It turns out it wasn't him, but he's not off the suspect list for A.D. yet either.

Our third DiLaurentis on the list fell under suspicion in later seasons when it was believed that Spencer was the one who killed Alison. It was thought that Jessica knew the truth and went after the girls as revenge. Unfortunately, Jessica was also killed -- eliminating her as A.D. -- and we're still waiting to figure out who killed her off.

This was the most devastating twist Pretty Little Liars has ever served up. It looked like Ezra was A at the end of Season 4 when he was found creepily stalking the girls as they got closer to discovering that Alison was still alive. It turns out he was just researching them for a book he wanted to write, but he purposefully hooked up with Aria to get closer to their circle of friends. That's almost worse than him being A.

Jenna connection part one million. We're telling you, if you ever talk to Jenna Marshall alone then you are going on the list. It turns out Shana was just another assistant helping Jenna do A's bidding, but had no real connection to CeCe, who was actually pulling the strings.

It's no wonder the Liars never felt comfortable trusting the police. Almost everyone on the Rosewood police force was a suspect for A at some point. We have to admit that Gabriel was unrelenting in his prosecution of the girls and it felt like he had too much to prove. Still, no dice though.

Little brothers can be a pain! And also stalkers, apparently? Just kidding. Mike developed a dangerous habit of breaking into houses in his older years, but he wasn't trying to stalk or torment anyone. His romantic relationship with Mona didn't help clear his name, though.

Andrew was one of CeCe's pawns for a brief while. He managed to get close to Spencer and very close to Aria (Lucy Hale), but was ultimately discovered to be one of CeCe's pawns after the girls managed to escape the dollhouse.

Lesli arrived in Rosewood portraying herself as a good friend of Mona's after Mona's alleged death in Season 5. When she tried to throw the Liars under the bus for Mona's death, it became easy to suspect that Lesli had picked up the game after Mona dropped it and had been going after the girls all along.

Rhys was a plant put in the Liars' way by CeCe Drake to throw them off her tracks. He was the head of the Carissimi Group and became a suspect after the girls discovered his financial ties to Radley Sanitarium.

CeCe was actually a suspect long before the girls found out she really was A. She had a suspicious past with Jason DiLaurentis that didn't add up, and the girls should have stuck with that instinct. It turned out that CeCe loved the game that Mona created and she spent years torturing her cousin and her best friends because she thought of them as her "dolls." Honestly, who is shocked that one of the Liars hasn't copped to being the one to kill CeCe in Season 6? If she wasn't already dead, CeCe would be the number one pick for A.D. too.

The girls had no idea that Mary Drake existed until the end of Season 6, but obviously a prime suspect for A.D. would include CeCe's biological mother. The Season 7 mid-season finale threw another curveball at us that Mary is also Spencer's biological mother, making us wonder if she's dark enough to torture her own daughter and all of her friends.

It turns out cops AND doctors can't be trusted on this show. Archer was CeCe's former love who ended up seducing Alison. He eventually convinced Alison she was crazy and tortured her as revenge for CeCe's death. It turns out he was just demented though, because the Liars ran him over with a car and STILL got texts from A.D., so it turns out he's not the new A, either.
