"Around 6AM, I donned Hetty's crisp, blue collared shirt, and began my transformation in the most capable hands of Chris Burgoyne, our lead Make Up Artist. Linda wears very minimal makeup on the show so we decided to go for a clean look, eliminating eyeliner and instead, using some black mascara and blush. That's it! I breezed in and out of the makeup chair in 5 minutes! I could get used to this."

"Wig time! My hairstylist, Nickole Jones, pinned my hair back and together we tackled the wig cap. Picture a pair of Spanx for your skull. It required a little extra wo-man power stretching around this noggin of mine so I jumped in and together we snapped this bad boy into place. Growing up my mom was, and still is, a super fly hairdresser so I'm very comfortable being hands on when it comes to the doing of hair. Peep the dragon fly! Might be my favorite part of the whole costume."

"Here, I'm imagining myself with a shaved head. Kinda into it. Low maintenance!"

"Fun fact! All of Hetty's suits are custom made and following that model, so was this one. Linda and I are quite different in body type so I was unable to wear one of her suits. But, not to worry, this suit is made from the very same fabric, crafted by the same uber talented tailor."

"I've watched Linda craft her performance as Ms. Henrietta Lange over these past 100 plus episodes (I've honestly lost count!) so I feel like I have a pretty good working memory of the character. Another fun fact, I was a dancer growing up so I have a tendency to pay super close attention to people's mannerisms. I'm also a pretty good mimic of the way people walk, stand, sit, etc. Miming may seriously be in my future. Seriously."

"My favorite part of this Nell-2-Hetty metamorphosis was stepping inside one of Hetty's many 'secret homes'. Our locations department did a tremendous job of finding this exquisite English Tudor style home. I'm an interior design nerd so I was like a kid in a candy shop. The ceilings were ridiculous, gold leaf detailing, murals from the 1920's. A turquoise and black Art Deco style bathroom complete with original dolphin titles. Are you kidding me? I died and then came back to life, twice."

"This is Nell after she made it successfully in the house and was able to take off her Hetty wig.”
