Game of Thrones is known for killing off characters at any moment.
Here, we've listed every character who's died on the hit HBO show, in reverse chronological order. For the sake of brevity, we've omitted some of the lower-level murders. Sorry, nameless dead soldiers!
In the series finale, Drogon melts down the Iron Throne following the death of Daenerys Targaryen.
Before she's able to sit on the Iron Throne, Jon Snow stabs Daenerys Targaryen through the heart while kissing her in the series finale, "The Iron Throne."
The Lannister siblings die in each other's arms, crushed by the collapsed walls of the Red Keep as King's Landing falls to Daenerys and her army in "The Bells."
In the much-anticipated Clegane Bowl, the Hound dies by tackling the Mountain through a wall of the Red Keep. They both fall into the blaze of the burning city beneath them.
The Mountain kills Qyburn by smashing his head into a wall.
Jaime Lannister kills Euron Greyjoy by stabbing him in the chest with a sword.
Daenerys Targaryen orders Varys executed after he betrays her. Drogon scorches him to death.
In "The Last of the Starks," Missandei is captured as a prisoner of war when Dany's forces are ambushed by Euron Greyjoy's fleet. The Mountain decapitates Missandei on Cersei's orders.

After the Battle of Winterfell, Melisandre takes off her magical necklace and dies of natural causes in "The Long Night."
In an absolutely jaw-dropping moment, Arya Stark leaps out of nowhere to stab and kill the Night King.
