Get your motor running with these bonus photos of IndyCar driver Danica Patrick from her guest-starring role on CSI: NY (Wednesdays at 10/9c on CBS).

Although Patrick does not play herself, she does plays a successful female race car driver who becomes involved in a case when a fellow driver's car is blown up.

"[Patrick's character] becomes a source of information," CSI: NY executive producer Pam Veasey tells TVGuide.com. She works closely with Mac (Gary Sinise) to help him solve the crime.

The episode also reveals that Mac has a little-known love of racing. He even made a Soap Box Derby car when he was a kid.

The explosion happens during an exhibition to promote bringing a race to New York City. Flack (Eddie Cahill) and the entire team are devoted to cracking the case.

Before it's all said and done, Mac and Stella (Melina Kanakaredes, not pictured) get to take the racecars for a spin. "Our actors got to peel against some pavement and burn some rubber," Veasey says.
