"I voted for Lauren for the first time because I thought she was great in both performances tonight. She has come a long way." — purplekitten

After the mass exodus of ladies during the first weeks of the finals, who would have ever considered that a two-woman finale is possible? "'I (Who Have Nothing)' was breathtaking. A second home run for Haley — two in two weeks. … Haley did a remarkable job, and deserved the adulation she received. … She may not have the fan base of the other three, but by golly, Haley is ready for a terrific career. I will definitely buy whatever she's selling." — maacam

"Scotty sang the first song well. But I didn't like the song choice. To me, he chose it as a cheap ploy to garner votes. He was what... 6 when 9/11 happened? Just didn't work for me." — earthgirl
