Lauren Alaina

After being verbally flogged by Jimmy Iovine, Lauren came back with enough fire to secure a place in the Final 3. Were the judges right on Day 1 when they predicted that Lauren was "the one"? Our readers don't think so, as she falls to last place in our Power Rankings.

"I voted for Lauren for the first time because I thought she was great in both performances tonight. She has come a long way." — purplekitten

Haley Reinhart

After the mass exodus of ladies during the first weeks of the finals, who would have ever considered that a two-woman finale is possible? Although dark horse Haley deserves a spot in the finale, she's not blowing Lauren away in our rankings. We think her best hope is that Lauren and Scotty split the county vote.

"'I (Who Have Nothing)' was breathtaking. A second home run for Haley — two in two weeks. … Haley did a remarkable job, and deserved the adulation she received. … She may not have the fan base of the other three, but by golly, Haley is ready for a terrific career. I will definitely buy whatever she's selling." — maacam

Scotty McCreery

With nearly 50 percent of the vote, Scotty is the clear front-runner with our voters. Although he's lacked diversity, he's clearly had no problem getting votes this season. We don't expect that to change.

"Scotty sang the first song well. But I didn't like the song choice. To me, he chose it as a cheap ploy to garner votes. He was what... 6 when 9/11 happened? Just didn't work for me." — earthgirl
