"I said it from the day he sang in Hollywood Week that Danny is your next American Idol and so far I am on track! Now the rest of you naysayers go listen to Adam Lambert screech another high note and get me some ear plugs!" — Highway Boots

Danny Gokey
This week's mentor, Slash, said that picking Aerosmith's "Dream On" to sing is all about whether you can nail the scream at the end, and boy, was he right! Danny made a hash of it, prompting Simon to compare it to watching a horror film. Still, he's hanging on in our Power Rankings, with 15 percent of the vote.

Kris Allen
The judges thought Kris' take on the Beatles' "Come Together" was the lighter side of rock. Twenty-two percent of you are still on Team Triangle Mouth, but Simon thought it was like "eating ice for lunch," in that it will leave you with nothing to remember. "It was a bit of a jam," he said.

Your take:
"Kris may not have blown the judges away tonight but he did better then the judges are saying. He's not a rocker, but he has a great voice and would be a positive role model. Isn't that what an Idol is supposed to be?" — yoodledoodle68

Adam Lambert
Adam really couldn't have made a better song choice, since Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" is essentially a series of plaintive wails separated by brief stretches of really dirty lyrics — "I'm going to give you every inch of my love," for example — which are a nice match for Adam's penchant for eye-raping the camera. Sixty-four percent of you were among the willing.

Your take:
"My ex was a huge Zeppelin and Grateful Dead fan. To this day I cannot listen to either band without thinking of him and that is not a good thing. For me to not only sit through Adam's performance without breaking out in hives but actually enjoy it is saying something!" — allie08
