For Beverly Hills, 90210 fans, this is truly the best of times and the worst of times: There's sadness over the loss of Luke Perry, most recently of Riverdale, who died Monday at age 52, and hope for the just-announced new 90210 series to feature members of the original cast.

Here's a look at back at 15 of the show's 1990s standouts -- and a look at where these stars are today:

Then: Priestley was a '90s heartthrob whose Beverly Hills, 90210 character, Brandon Walsh, is the heart of the West Beverly High crew.

Now: The beat goes on for the 49-year-old, who's branched out into directing and race-car driving as he continues to act (ION's Private Eyes; the upcoming 90210).

Then: Doherty played the rebel twin of Brandon (Jason Priestley), who bewitched, but broke up with, Dylan McKay (Luke Perry).

Now: Fighting her way back from breast cancer, the 47-year-old Charmed alum has appeared in the Paramount Network's Heathers.

Then: Garth's character is a West Beverly brat who we came to love as the big winner in the Brandon-Dylan-Kelly triangle: Kelly chose herself!

Now: Garth, 46, continues to win (save for on a long-ago losing stint on Dancing With the Stars): The actress and reality-TV star teamed with Tori Spelling to bring the new 90210 series to life.

Then: For most of Beverly Hills, 90210's run, Perry played the brooding bad boy with the big bank account, the long sideburns--and the awesome sunglasses.

Now: From 2017-2019, Perry played the blue-collar father of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) on the CW's Riverdale. Perry died on March 4, 2019, following a stroke. He was 52.

Then: Ziering's rich-kid character was cheesy, but entrepreneurial.

Now: Ziering, 54, and bound for the new 90210 series, is a fixture in Syfy's gloriously cheesy Sharknado movies.

Then: The real-life daughter of Beverly Hills, 90210 executive producer Aaron Spelling was cast as the dutiful Donna, who maintained her virginity through nearly seven full seasons.

Now: The 45-year-old Spelling, who cooked up the new 90210 series with Jennie Garth, has given it up for reality TV, where she's starred on multiple series with her husband, Dean McDermott.

Then: Green played the geeky kid who emerged as a hip-hop stylist ("Switch It Up!").

Now: Green, 45, is married to Megan Fox. The couple has three children, and Green has a fourth child by former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Vanessa Marcil. He's ready to bust a move on the new 90210.

Then: Carteris' Andrea was the brainiac from whom great things were expected.

Now: Carteris, 58, and due to return to the 90210 fold for the new series, is president of the 160,000-member SAG-AFTRA union.

Then: Billed as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen during her series run, the actress joined 90210 in Season 5 as a Walsh family friend who was a fellow Minnesota transplant -- and all-around bad influence.

Now: Thiessen, 45, is a good mom on the Netflix comedy, Alexa & Katie.

Then: Robertson joined Beverly Hills, 90210 in Season 4 as the smart, but wild daughter of the chancellor of the West Beverly gang's favorite college, California University.

Now: Robertson, 45, plays the grounding force to a grieving family in the new Netflix series, Northern Rescue.

Then: Price, who joined Beverly Hills, 90210 in Season 8, played a smart journalist who nonetheless married Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering).

Now: Price, 42, stars as one-half of a happily married couple on the ABC divorce comedy, Splitting Up Together.

Then: A series regular in Season 5, Espinoza played the aspiring lawyer who married the pregnant Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris).

Now: Espinoza, 58, regularly plays lawyers, doctors and military brass on TV shows such as The Bold and the Beautiful, SEAL Team and Secrets and Lies (pictured).

Then: Caulfield played a college feminist and love interest of Brandon (Jason Priestley) in Season 6.

Now: Caulfield, 45, ate children as the Blind Witch on Once Upon a Time (pictured). She was last seen as a survivalist on Fear the Walking Dead.

Then: In Beverly Hills, 90210's final seasons, Cosgrove played the incredibly boring lawyer who was engaged (and then un-engaged) to Kelly (Jennie Garth).

Now: Cosgrove, 48, is boring nobody as the probation officer, Ron, on the Netflix thriller series, You.

Then: Young joined the cast in Season 8; his character was two-timed by Valerie (Tiffani Thiessen), and went on to date Donna (Tori Spelling).

Now: Young, 53, has guest-starred on shows such as NCIS and CSI: NY.

Then: The daytime soap star departed General Hospital to play a disgraced figure-skating relation of Donna (Tori Spelling) who briefly dated David (Brian Austin Green).

Now: Marcil, 50, has periodically returned to General Hospital in between guest-starring TV work and a starring run on Las Vegas. She has a son by former 90210 costar, Brian Austin Green.
