GLAAD Glad Sopranos' Mis-cue is Corrected
GLAAD has commended the decision by a billiards-supply manufacturer to cease the sale of "A Cue to Die For," a cue it was marketing in partnership with Joseph R. Gannascoli and as a nod to the lethal, pool-stick bludgeoning of Gannascoli's gay Sopranos alter ego. "While the violence against the character of Vito... was fictional, many members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community have fallen victim to brutal anti-gay attacks," says GLAAD President Neil G. Giuliano. "Rockwell Billiards has done the right thing by no longer selling a product that many deemed offensive and insensitive." Earlier in the week, GLAAD had broken Rockwell's balls — billiards reference! — over the product idea.
