The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will feature a major Gilmore Girls reunion in Season 3.

Actress Liza Weil, who portrayed Rory's (Alexis Bledel) enemy-turned-ally, Paris Geller, in the series and its spin-off, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, will appear in the next season of the Amazon dramedy series in a secretive role, according to TVLine. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was created by Gilmore Girls' Amy Sherman-Palladino, whose gift for quick-humored dialogue has been the hallmark of both series.

It won't be the first time Sherman-Palladino has reunited with a Gilmore Girls alum on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, of course. The series stars Alex Borstein as Midge Maisel's (Rachel Brosnahan) manager Susie Myerson. Borstein was originally supposed to play the role of Sookie (which went to Melissa McCarthy) but she ended up starring in several guest spots on Gilmore Girls as Drella and Miss Celine, among others.

Sherman-Palladino has also hinted that Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham might make it into the show's next season. In March, she told Entertainment Tonight, "Lauren made a request, and Lauren is my queen and the reason I have a career, so I honor the request of Lauren Graham. Hopefully [she'll be in Season 3]. It would be lovely."

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 premieres Friday, Dec. 6 on Amazon.

Seasons 1 and 2 currently available to stream on Amazon.
