The 100's Tasya Teles Gushes Over Bob Morley's Directorial Debut

This week's episode of The 100 is a particularly special one, not just because it delivers some seriously emotional scenes that have been years in the making, but also because it will serve as Bob Morley's directorial debut on the show!

Morley had to juggle a pretty heavy episode for his character, Bellamy, while also navigating some pivotal plot points and a long-awaited origin story for Echo (Tasya Teles). According to Teles, though, Morley pulled it all off with style and grace, and the only anxiety she ever experienced was in regards to bringing her A-game for him as her director.

"At first I was more worried about Bob, and then I became more worried about myself," Teles told TV Guide. "There [were] a few really intense emotional breakdowns in that episode for Echo, so I just really wanted to make sure that I was prepared and that I could come and show up for Bob and we could squeeze out whatever he needed. I've known Bob for so long, and he's kind of like an older brother to me, and we've worked together so much, so it was so great to work in that capacity. It was so fitting that he would be the one who ended up with Echo's backstory, so that was really sweet, and he did a really good job."

Both Morley and Teles end up knocking it out of the park in the episode, proving that they make just a great of a team off-screen as on. In fact, Teles says she became a fun mix of a cheerleader and a stage mom when it came to supporting her friend in his directorial debut!

"He was going through feelings of anxiety and feelings of excitement, and I was just like, 'Bob, don't worry. Everyone is so on board and going to be so supportive and everyone is going to show up ready to work and to do whatever is necessary so that you can relax and do your job,'' Teles said. "And then he actually started to relax and loosen up to the point where when he was directing it was so second nature to him. It was marvelous to watch. I was like, 'Wow, go Bob!' He was laughing and light and fun and moving quickly and just really knew what he wanted to do and how to do it and how to get the actors to give him what he wanted. It was so marvelous to watch. ... I'd go often on days when I wasn't even working and take photos and videos like I was a stage mom or something. I was like, 'You're doing great!'"

How long do we think it's going to take the internet to create a GIF of Echo pulling a Kris Jenner and shouting at Bellamy, "You're doing amazing, sweetie!" We're guessing two, maybe three minutes.
