Report: Fox Gives The Simpsons' Voice Actors Ultimatum

Fox has given The Simpsons' six voice actors an ultimatum: They have until noon Friday to decide whether to accept a salary cut of nearly 50 percent or this season will be the last, The Wrap reports.

Variety further reports that producers have already agreed to salary reductions, so now the onus is on the animated sitcom's cast. They make $440,000 per episode, but that would be cut to $250,000, The Wrap says.
And no matter what happens, Fox wants the show just for one more year since it's no longer profitable, an executive speaking on condition of anonymity told the site.

On Monday, it was reported that the actors — Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer — proposed a 30 percent pay cut in exchange for a small percentage of the show's back-end profits, which includes syndication and merchandising. But that offer was swiftly rejected by the network.
