It's alive, dammit
Tina Fey has accio'd Daniel Radcliffe for Netflix's upcoming interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidtspecial. The former Harry Potter actor will appear on the forthcoming continuation of the comedy series.
Netflix announced Radcliffe's involvement on Thursday but didn't provide any details on what role he might play. What the streaming service did unveil, however, are some of the interactive special's plot details for the first time:
In the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special, Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) sets off on her biggest adventure yet. Three states! Explosions! A dancing hamburger! And you, the viewer, get to decide how the story goes. Will you foil the Reverend's (Jon Hamm) evil plan and get Kimmy to her wedding on time? Or will you accidentally start a war against the robots? So grab your remote and a tray of delicious scrod, 'cause Kimmy's got her own Netflix interactive special!
Just Because You Love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Doesn't Mean It Needs a Movie
The choose-your-own-adventure comedy is Netflix's second experiment in interactive storytelling, following the Black Mirror movie Bandersnatch. Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane will reprise their roles for the special. For those who need a refresher on where things left off at the end of the series finale: Kimmy (Kemper) writes a book (which then is adapted for a theme park ride, making her absentee mother proud) while Titus (Burgess) snags a role in The Lion King and reconciles with Mickey, and Jacqueline (Krakowski) becomes a successful agent.
Four seasons of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are streaming on Netflix now. The interactive special will debut in 2020.
