Things are heating up on Chicago Fire this season - and we're not just talking about the blazes the characters battle.

It turns out that one member of the Truck crew has quite a hobby on the side. We'll find out in the premiere that Mouch (Christian Stolte) has a secret talent, and he's using his day job as an inspiration of sorts. "He's secretly been writing firehouse-based romance novels," executive producer Michael Brandt tells TVGuide.com.

Catch up on all this week's Mega Buzz!

But that's not all - when Sylvie (Kara Killmer) discovers Mouch's pastime, she blackmails him... into allowing her to form a secret writing partnership with him, and "she's really good at it," according to Brandt.

Great news for everybody, right? Well, not for Platt (Amy Morton), who's initially unaware of her husband's way with words. "You can imagine when Platt does find out that he's been doing this and he's been doing it with the cute blonde in the firehouse that Platt might not be so happy about it," Brandt teases. "Fireworks come from that."
