The first episode focuses on the first event of the 2007 World Series of Poker, the $5,000 World Championship Mixed Hold 'em Event. The 3-day tournament drew 451 entrants and alternated between two of the most popular poker styles: limit and no limit hold 'em. This marked the first time in recent memory that a mixed hold 'em event opened the WSOP. Nine players battle it out for more than $1.5 million in final table prize money, an early lead in the 2007 race for the Player of the Year award and, of course, the most coveted prize in all of poker, a WSOP Bracelet.
