2010's Best Episodes: Vampire Diaries' Killer Transformation and Betty White's Dusty Muffin

Vampire Diaries

It was a great year for TV, which made it very difficult to choose the top 25 episodes of 2010. Recalling and, in some cases, rewatching the stand-out moments was a holiday treat. We got our first glimpse of a bespectacled Clark Kent and saw Snooki pummel Angelina. We wept as Jack Shephard took his final breath and cheered as Leslie took down a mischievous rodent wreaking havoc in Pawnee. Here's the third batch of TVGuide.com's weeklong countdown of the year's best episodes. (Catch up first with Episodes 25-21 and Episodes 20-16.) read more

Work of Art: The Next Great Artist
10/9c Bravo
After presenting a nine-week odyssey of artistic tasks and tests, the arty competition series' first season draws to a close. In this inaugural year, the up-and-coming Picasso wannabes created aesthetic craft from garbage, book-cover art, shocking canvasses, a sweeping outdoor installation piece and, last week, they framed nature-based work. It all climaxes when the finalists present their solo collections at a gala opening, to be followed by the naming of a winner.

Ask Matt: True Blood, Work of Art, Friday Night Lights, Mad Men and More

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer

Send questions to askmatt@tvguidemagazine.com and follow me on Twitter!

Question: I have recently discovered True Blood and spent the summer watching seasons 1 and 2. Alan Ball and company did all the right things to get me to invest completely in Bill and Sookie. So much so that now I physically hurt at the thought that things might not work out for them. (Kudos to them for getting that kind of response for fictional characters.) I know that things aren't following the books exactly, which is fine by me, since I haven't read them. However, I am getting a little worried about ... read more

Top Moments: Comics Gone Wild on Colbert, Louie and... the Emmys?

Steve Carell and Ricky Gervais

This week television was overstuffed with funny people — intentional and otherwise. Bethenny Frankel injected some levity into her solemn nuptials. ESPN analysts made us chuckle by painstakingly stretching out four little words — "I'm going to Miami" — to nearly a half-hour. Joel McHale and Jay Leno were both good sports about not receiving Emmy nominations. Ricky Gervais was just what the doctor ordered. And Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert reunited, and the angels sang in comedy heaven. Welcome to Top Moments: Make 'Em Laugh Edition.

Top Moments: Risky Business on Entourage, True Blood and The Bachelorette

True Blood, The Bachelorette

TV took a few risks this week. Entourage's Ari betrayed a client. An artist created a shocking portrait of a beloved Disney character. True Blood had us clutching our pearls at a genuinely revolting vampire sex scene. James Franco made us worry about his career choices. And Bachelorette Ali sent a potential suitor hobbling off into the sunset.
