Premise: Classic tales are told through the daydreams of a Jack Russell terrier named Wishbone in this Peabody and Emmy-winning educational series designed to introduce children to literature. In each episode, a situation in Wishbone's life parallels the plot of an old classic, leading him to imagine himself as such characters as Tom Sawyer and Sherlock Holmes.
