Popular tongue-in-cheek adventure about Old West Bond-like intelligence agent James T. West clashing with an array of (usually psychotic) villains. West was aided by exotic contraptions and weapons; and his sidekick, Artemus Gordon, a master of disguises and voices. A recurring character---their No. 1 nemesis---was the diminutive and delightfully mad Dr. Loveless. There were made-for-TV movies in 1979 and 1980. A disappointing 1999 big-screen adaptation starred Will Smith and Kevin Kline.
