Premise: Singer Margaret Whiting and her younger sister, Barbara, played themselves in this sitcom about siblings living with their mother in Los Angeles (Barbara's character was a UCLA student and showbiz wannabe). A summer replacement for `I Love Lucy' in its first season, it was created (for Desilu) by `Lucy' writers Madelyn Pugh and Bob Carroll Jr. `Girls' didn't air in 1956, but returned in 1957 as Danny Thomas's summer replacement.
