The violent, crimebusting exploits of club-wielding Tennessee sheriff Buford Pusser, who enforced a two-fisted brand of justice in lawless McNairy County. Based on a true story, this drama was inspired by the 1973 Joe Don Baker film and its sequels, which starred series lead Bo Svenson.

Walking Tall is a remake of the 1973 film of the same name. Like the original film, it was based on real-life Sheriff Buford Pusser, however, the main character's name was changed to 'Chris Vaughn'.
