Included: the early portrayal of Mexican men as bandits; the creation of the “Latin lover” stereotype; the birth of “Chicano cinema” with the classic film “Salt of the Earth”; and a look at “Giant,” “Touch of Evil” and “The Ring,” which presented realistic depictions of the prejudice experienced by Mexican-Americans.
