Premise:
Chris Rock hosts the 20th edition of the awards show, which honors the best music videos of 2003. Performances include Madonna and Missy Elliott joining Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera for a medley of “Like a Virgin” and “Hollywood”; Good Charlotte, with “Anthem”; Aguilera herself, who sang a medley of “Dirrty” and “Fighter”; 50 Cent, who rapped with Snoop Dogg; Coldplay, with “The Scientist”; Beyonce Knowles, who sang “Baby Boy” and, with help from Jay-Z, “Crazy in Love”; and Metallica, with an instrumental medley (including Lenny Kravitz's “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and Michael Jackson's “Beat It”) as well as the band's own “Frantic.” From Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
