Psych Stars and Creator Say Goodbye and Leave the Door Open for a Possible Movie

In the past few years, TV shows have made an event of saying goodbye. Following in the footsteps of the heavily promoted final season of Lost, it's become customary for series ranging from serialized sci-fi (Fringe) to long-running half-hour comedies (How I Met Your Mother) to give their loyal followers a heads-up that the end is nigh. So what took Psych so long to confirm that Season 8 would be its last?

Veronica Mars Producers Respond to Backers' Downloading Difficulties

Veronica Mars fans who donated $35 or more to the Kickstarter campaign that financed the recent movie adaptation were promised a digital download of the film upon its release. Unfortunately for many fans, that didn't come to fruition.

On Friday night, many users took to Twitter to complain that the movie wasn't downloading properly from Flixster. Creator Rob Thomas responded promptly on the movie's Kickstarter page. read more

Veronica Mars: Should Veronica Choose Logan or Piz?

It's been nine years since Veronica (Kristen Bell) left Neptune and cut Logan (Jason Dohring) out of her life. When the much-anticipated Veronica Mars movie picks up, she's back with Piz (Chris Lowell) and even about to meet his parents.  But old habits are hard to break, and Veronica's never been good at resisting Logan's charms. It's entirely possible LoVe will overcome — but should it?

We weigh Veronica's two options below:

Question: There have been quite a few resurrections from the TV graveyard as of late and I must say I love it, way more than Hollywood's obsession of making a sequel out of everything as well as making too-soon remakes. Firefly and Veronica Mars both have movie continuations, Dallas and Boy Meets World have spawned new series chronicling the next generation (I know you're not too big a fan of the new Dallas, but I have to say I welcome the return of Judith Light to the series), Netflix brought back Arrested Development for a fourth season, and Heroes is coming out with Heroes: Reborn next year. So I'm wondering what are your thoughts on this phenomenon, and are there any shows that you feel should be next in this craze.

8 Things to Know About the Veronica Mars Movie

From the minute you hear Kristen Bell's hard-boiled voiceover, it's clear that some things never change — though Veronica might allege she has. Veronica Mars' titular hero claims to have moved on from her time as a teen detective ("Trust me, I know how dumb that sounds.") in favor of a prestigious career as a New York lawyer. Though Veronica might claim to be a marshmallow now, when she learns Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is a murder suspect (again!) she doesn't hesitate before resorting back to the righteously indignant and dogged detective we fell for all those years ago.

So who's Logan suspected of murdering this time? None other than Carrie Bishop (Andrea Estella), or as the world now knows her, Bonnie DeVille, troubled pop star and Logan's ex-girlfriend. (How many dead ex-girlfriends can one guy have?)

Can't wait to find out more? Here are eight things to know about the Veronica Mars movie before its premiere:

Premise: Mars is a feisty and fearless teen sleuth (with a PI father) who juggles an array of cases in the California seaside community of Neptune. The series is a kind of modern-day variation on Nancy Drew, but with considerable more attitude, style, mood and sophistication. First-year ratings were disappointing, but `Mars' has its loyal following among critics and viewers.
