The Vampire Diaries Episode Recap "Disturbing Behavior" Season 3, Episode 4

On this week's Vampire Diaries, Bonnie is back making Jeremy's ghostly dilemma just a tad bit more complicated, the hunt for Rebekah's necklace causes causalities and Damon returns to his Damon-like" ways.

The ghostly love triangle
Jeremy wakes up and sees Anna, who is shocked when she realizes he can hear her. She tells him she's been trying to get through to him and later explains how they're able to see each other. Of course, she also warns that while she can't see Vicki, she can sense that she's dangerous. Although it seems Jeremy still has feelings for Anna, he later says goodbye and pushes her away as he tells Bonnie his secret and Anna cries in the distance.

Damon returns to his old ways
Leave it to Damon to sabotage his relationships. As soon as people start noticing him and Elena's new closeness (like cooking together?), he goes on a little rampage, first momentarily killing Alaric and then almost killing Mr. Forbes. When Elena, then, calls him out, Damon shoots back, "I am not Stefan. How about you stop trying to turn me into him?"

Gloria, the evil witch
Back in Chicago, Klaus enlists Gloria to find out where Rebekah's missing necklace is. As she starts to locate it, the necklace burns right on Elena's neck. But Gloria doesn't reveal too much just yet. It's when Stefan and her are alone that she admits she knows more than she let on to Klaus. Gloria strikes him with some paralysis and then tortures Stefan to try to figure out just who the girl is that has the all-important necklace. Through voodoo she realizes it now belongs to the doppelganger, who of course is alive and the reason that Klaus can't make any hybrids. And just as Stefan is really in for trouble, Katherine shows up and actually saves the day by killing Gloria.

The Forbes Family
Talk about dysfunctional family. Damon thinks he has compelled Bill Forbes to leave town, but turns out Bill has been honing the skill to resist compulsion. "You're not self-destructive enough to kill the Sheriff's husband," he tells Damon who never scoffs at a challenge. Damon then feeds on Bill before Caroline races in and saves her father, the same guy who was torturing her just days prior.

Stefan makes a deadly mistake
Stefan really thought he had the situation under control, but he pushed too hard to get information out of Rebekah. After trying to find out why the most dangerous vampire was running from someone else, Rebekah is onto him and tells Klaus who then launches at Stefan. When he wakes up, he's back in Mystic Falls where the fact that Elena is alive will be much harder to keep secret.

Favorite lines
Katherine to Stefan: "Is Klaus your new bestie?"
Caroline to Elena: "So you're not, like, switching Salvatores, are you?"
Caroline: "Damon's gotten under your skin. You are attracted to him and all of his bad brother glory." Elena: "If I admit it ... what does that say about me?" Caroline: "It says you're human."
