Valiant Lady
A minor hit in the early soap days, this was loosely based on the radio show about a gutsy widow and her randy kids. Nancy Coleman gave up her lead role after a year, exhausted by the daily grind, and was replaced by `Faraway Hill' alum Flora Campbell. The show also starred newcomer James Kirkwood Jr., who later won a Pulitzer for writing `A Chorus Line.'
