Ex-con Victor Torres went from a pen to the pen as an investigative reporter for the Montreal Tribune. Torres spent time in prison for armed robbery and was hired by the newspaper because an editor thought that his underworld connections made him an asset as a crime writer. The series aired on CBS's late-night schedule.
