The spring revival of ESPN's 30th-anniversary documentary series may feature its best film yet in Guru of Go, Oscar-winning director Bill Couturie's look at Loyola Marymount's storied run through the 1990 NCAA basketball tournament following the sudden death of star forward Hank Gathers. Much of the focus is on coach Paul Westhead, the professorial hoops nomad whose ultra-up-tempo offense was at its breathtaking best with those LMU Lions, who discovered a new gear in wins over New Mexico State, Michigan and Alabama. Also interviewed is Bo Kimble, Hank's long-time teammate from Philadelphia, who shot his first free throw of each game left-handed, à la Hank.

Shani Davis

Winter Olympics
8/7c NBC
Apolo Ohno has won gold in short-track speed skating's 500-meter (2006) and 1,500-meter (2002), and has bronze and silver in the 1,000-meter. Tonight, he tries to make his collection more symmetrical with a win in the 1,000-meter. World record-holder Shani Davis is the favorite in speed skating's 1,500-meter, but will have to face teammate and rival Chad Hedrick, who has said that in his final Olympics, winning this race is his primary goal. "This isn't Brett Favre here — you won't ever see me again." Other U.S. star athletes in action include skier Lindsey Vonn, competing in the Super G, an event she has dominated on the World Cup circuit; and driver Steve Holcomb, who is a medal threat as two-man bobsled competition gets underway. "In Vancouver, the sled won't matter," he believes. "It'll all be up to the drivers and pushers." And late tonight, Katherine Reutter, who has had her thigh autographed by U.S. Speed skating sponsor Stephen Colbert, goes up against the Chinese in short track's women's 1,500-meter.

Ryan and Jimmy decide to make a scary movie, and the offices of Mad Style after hours seem like the perfect eerie setting. Only, maybe they're a little too eerie: The ghost of a former receptionist who died more than 50 years ago now roams the company's halls at night. Meanwhile, during the daylight hours, True and Amanda are bickering as usual, this time fighting over which model to cast for a photo shoot. — Jennifer Sankowski
