Premise: Heartfelt, homespun humor about an Oklahoma family led by an optimistic single mom trying her best to help them get by. Among her five children is young teen Dorothy Jane, who chafes at being part of a `hillbilly' clan. In early 1993, the series was retooled and renamed `Almost Home.'
