Premise: The popular '70s group (`Tie a Yellow Ribbon,' `Knock Three Times') hosted a variety show that originally aired as a summer replacement for `The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.' In the fall of 1976, the show was renamed `The Tony Orlando and Dawn Rainbow Hour' and George Carlin joined it as a regular.
