Premise:
The Welsh singer brought his high-energy style to this variety show, which mixed comedy and song. It was not unusual to find an eclectic group of guests encompassing country artists (Tanya Tucker) and actors (Peter Sellers, Edward G. Robinson), singer-songwriters (Paul Anka) and British pop stars (Dusty Springfield, Herman's Hermits), soul singers (Aretha Franklin), musical-film headliners (Debbie Reynolds, Liza Minnelli) and comedians (Richard Pryor, Bob Hope, George Carlin).
