Salahis: We Didn't Crash the White House Dinner

Premise: This venerable morning show is TV's longest-running daytime series and was the brainchild (one of many) of Sylvester `Pat' Weaver, an NBC programming visionary who understood that viewers starting their day wanted their news and lifestyle features in brief, quick-to-digest segments. It debuted in January 1952 and has been a springboard for some of the medium's marquee personalities, including Dave Garroway (its first host), Barbara Walters, Bryant Gumbel, Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric.
