The ThunderCats adventure continues Friday with an all new episode in which WilyKit and Kat finally encounter Lord Lion-O on the way out of the destroyed city.

Kit and Kat in the same space with Snarf? Cute overload! The new team sets out to find the Book of Omens, to unite Third Earth, but Lion-O seems to be more bent on exacting revenge on Mumm-Ra.

Cartoon Network and DC Comics Team-Up for Superhero Adventures

"If you're a DC Comics fan this is the best news of all time," says Geoff Johns, chief creative officer for DC Entertainment, with only a slight hint of hyperbole. Johns was on hand at Cartoon Network's upfront presentation in New York City on Wednesday morning to talk about "DC Nation," a programming initiative that will showcase DC's expansive library of characters. Todd Casey, a writer on Cartoon Network's upcoming reboot of the '80s animated classic, tweeted the show's first official image, featuring four of the six main ThunderCats characters.

Proving that you can't have too much '80s nostalgia, Warner Bros. Animation has announced that it is producing an updated version of the animated series ThunderCats, set to premiere on Cartoon Network in 2011.

Warners is partnering with and Japanese animators Studio4°C on the series, which will have an anime style. Like the original '80s version, this new ThunderCats stars a group of feline-like aliens.

Per a Warner Bros. press release, the show will be "a sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes... As the forces of good and evil battle each other in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power, Lion-O and his champions learn valuable lessons of loyalty, honor and mortality in every episode."
