Never have I been so relieved to be so wrong. You know what I'm talking 'bout! Normally I'd have to tease you a bit, but since you already know the news and are probably as excited as I am, let's hear it... America's favorite dancer is JEANINE. I hoped and prayed and wished and voted, but I did not see that coming. 21.6 million votes. Impressive!
And it was probably that much more exciting because...

Finally, finale week is here. Tonight we'll get to see some girl-on-girl and boy-on-boy action. What? Too much? I'm talking about dancing people! Let's see what the choreographers have come up with for Evan, Brandon, Jeanine, and Kayla.

In what has to be the most unkind cut of the entire season, we whittle our number down by two to reveal the Final 4. Did your favorites make it this far? Who will be dancing for the title of America's favorite dancer? I'll give you a little hint...okay, no I won't. All will be revealed later.

Next week is finale week — where has the time gone? Who do you want to see make it into the Final 4, and more importantly, who is your favorite dancer? Let's get to it.

What an exciting night. First of all, congratulations to the show for making it to its 100th episode. All the special performances (as well as the actual results from last night's vote) made this a very exciting show.

After last night's show, during which they revealed a slightly new (and improved, in my opinion) format, two more dancers are whittled from the field. So, who's going home? You know I can't reveal that until later. Shall we group dance?

Now that our Top 10 dancers have been revealed, who will stay in the competition long enough to get our votes? Who do you think America's Favorite Dancer will be? I know who I want to win it all but a lot can happen between now and the finale.

Who has made it into the Top 10? After the opportunity to impress us and the judges with two dances each, let's see who still has a chance to be crowned America's Favorite Dancer.
But first, the group dance.

We are just one hot tamale train ride away from learning this year's top 10. Who do you want to see there? Who are you so tired of that if they don't go home tonight you might have to hunt Nigel down yourself and hurt him? Let's see how our dancers do as the pressure of making the Top 10 looms large.

Who is lucky enough to be among the Top 12 dancers? After some pretty impressive dancing last night it's time to see who the voters put in the bottom three.

As we whittle away the dancers to make it down to our Top 10, I think we all want to see the 14 remaining step it up and impress us. Vitolio, Jason, and Karla have something to prove to us this week if they want to stick around. Let's see what they've got.

We lose two more dancers tonight, which brings our count to 14. Did the judges make the right call tonight? Let's find out.

We're now in the third week of the competition and I want to see some strong comebacks. The dancers with something to prove to us are: Caitlin, Jason, and Jonathan. I think we all want to see Jonathan turn in a strong performance again to make sure last week wasn't a fluke. Who do you expect big things from? Let's see how they do.

And then there were 16. As you know, I was a bit underwhelmed by this week's performance—and I know a lot of you were as well. I'm still sad to see good dancers sent home and this week I'm a little heartbroken by who has to say goodbye. Who will it be? Let's find out.

It's the second week of the competition and who do I want to see perform? I'm surprised to say everyone. Even if I was somewhat underwhelmed last week by some of the couples (and that's only because there was so much great dancing) I want to see what the dancers can do with what they're given this week. I'm very excited to have both Shane Sparks and Brian Friedman back this year. Let's see what they can add to the program.

And then there were 18. It's sad to see amazingly talented dancers leave the competition but it's inevitable as we count down to America's Favorite Dancer. Did you agree with the judge's decisions or were you shocked with who they sent home?

Now comes the exciting part of the competition. The Top 20 has been chosen, and we finally get some (hopefully interesting) back stories on the dancers we don't know yet. But most of all, we're going to see some amazing dancing. Let's get started.

Have you been clock-watching all day waiting for this magic moment? No? Well, I'll admit that I have been. I'm so excited to meet So You Think You Can Dance's Top 20 (mostly).
I can't possibly imagine what it's like to wait for what might be some of the most important news you'll hear in your life — and in a tiny little windowless room. What makes it worse (or better) is to see other people — probably your friends — get called in front of the judges to learn their fate before you learn yours. But that's what our top 32 dancers had to go through tonight. I'm surprised there wasn't more crying, although there was plenty of that. And who made the final cut? Read on.

Now that was a rollercoaster ride. In Wednesday's episode of So You Think You Can Dance, there are some exhilarating highs and devastating lows. Who made it into the Top 20? We won't know until Thursday night, but let's find out more about our Top 16 girls and Top 16 guys.
Vegas: Day 1
We start out with 172 dancers. That's a bit curious considering we went into it with 178. I guess a few people got sick or ...

In this episode, the So You Think You Can Dance audition train rolled through Los Angeles before coming to a final stop in Seattle. But perhaps this train metaphor should be more of a roller coaster metaphor. The excitement and thrills of a Los Angeles loop de loop did not prepare me for the stomach-in-my-throat terror plunge into Seattle. When Nigel has to give you a pep talk before you even get on the ride, you know you're in trouble. Despite that, there were some nice moments.

It's that time of year again! Season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance kicks off with two hours of auditions. Was it just me or was this audition show a little less painful than usual? As many of you know (and the rest of you will learn), I don't enjoy these early shows. I love great dancing, but if I wanted to watch it being done badly, I'd watch Dancing with the Stars. Oh snap. Kidding. Sort of. Our first two pit stops on the audition train (on the way to hot tamale town) are Brooklyn and Denver.
