That much-missed fan fave Lauralee Bell returns to The Young and the Restless November 9 but it's no happy occasion.
When the folks at The Young and the Restless needed a really lousy singer, they went out and found themselves a great one. American Idol Season 3 runner up Diana DeGarmo joins the CBS soap October 31 as Angelina, the Jersey girl daughter of mob boss Angelo Veneziano (Mike Starr). She comes to Genoa City with dreams of being a chart-topping vocalist. And what Angelina wants, Angelina gets! TV Guide Magazine spoke with DeGarmo about her trash-tastic new role.
TV Guide Magazine: Sounds like Y&R is getting some comic relief! Give us the deets on this chick.
DeGarmo: Well, she's an over-the-top, gum-smacking, tone-deaf princess whose hair is as large as her attitude. [Laughs] And I'm having a blast! Angelina believes she's Barbra Streisand mixed with Celine Dion and her father — who thinks his spoiled-brat daughter sings like a choir of angels — really puts the pressure on Devon [the young music producer played by Bryton James] to show her the ropes and make her a success. It's fantastically hilarious because it puts the poor kid in a horrible predicament!
TV Guide Magazine: Word is, she'll develop a mad crush on Kevin Fisher [Greg Rikaart].
DeGarmo: Ooh, she wants him bad! Angie has her eyes, her heart and her body set on landing Kevin — and it scares him to death! He's just so sweet ...

Get ready to relive a nightmare! Longtime fan fave Lauralee Bell is heading back to CBS's The Young and the Restless for a series of episodes starting November 9 that'll be packed with juicy flashbacks — circa 2001-03 — featuring Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.
Just before Longoria hit Wisteria Lane, she played Genoa City nutjob Isabella Braña, a former prostie who clashed with Bell's character, Christine, and made her life a living hell. Isabella not only got pregnant by Christine's husband, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), but later faked...
There will soon be a lot of Harmony in Genoa City... and some folks won't like it one bit. Emmy-winning phenom Debbi Morgan — formerly Dr. Angie Hubbard on All My Children — will join The Young and the Restless on Friday, October 7 as the ne'er-do-well, drug-addict mother of Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Fans are already familiar with Morgan's character, who was previously known as Yolanda when the role was played by Chene Lawson (2005-06). These days, Yolanda has gotten off the crack, named herself Harmony and has started a new life as a waitress in a Milwaukee diner. TV Guide Magazine went down to the Y&R set to chat with Morgan about her hot new ...
All My Children
After nearly 42 years of scandalous affairs, decades-long rivalries, fairy tale romances, kidnapped babies, serial killers, resurrected loved ones and the occasional Pennsylvania tornado, All My Children as fans have known it will come to an end on Friday. Two weeks before production wrapped, TVGuide.com spent a few days behind the scenes of Pine Valley as writers, producers and cast performed something of a three-ring circus, rallying to deliver what they hoped would be a satisfying conclusion for their loyal viewers.
During one morning meeting, longtime director Steven Williford planned out the moment in which Angie (Debbi Morgan) would get her sight back, enacting how she would stumble, joyful and teary-eyed, toward Jessie (Darnell Williams). Downstairs on set at the Pine Valley police station, Tad (Michael E. Knight) and Dixie (Cady McClain) -- together, at last — confronted David (Vincent Irizarry) perhaps for the final time, begging to know
Melody Thomas Scott
Our long national nightmare is over! Execs at The Young and the Restless have finally seen the light and are bringing Melody Thomas Scott back to the show. She will resume work in October and hit the air at Thanksgiving. The immensely popular actress — who plays lush-in-distress Nikki Newman — has been off the CBS serial since the end of April, with rumors flying that Sony, which owns the soap, was cutting corners and didn't want to renew her contract just yet. Not a smooth move, considering Thomas Scott was at the top of storyline — and giving the performance of her career — when Nikki suddenly left Genoa City and went into rehab. Curiously, those money issues at Y&R didn't stop the suits from hiring lots of new high-profile faces in recent months, including Emmy-winning suds greats Genie Francis and Debbi Morgan — a fact that did not go ignored by Thomas Scott's legion of irate fans who organized a massive Twitter campaign to bring their girl back. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Thomas Scott to get the scoop on her return and what really went down between her and the penny-pinchers...
