On last week's episode of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes was convinced by his fellow survivors to not breach Grady Memorial Hospital with a sneak attack that could put more lives in danger. But as viewers learned on Sunday's midseason finale, the more peaceful approach didn't exactly work out much better.

The Walking Dead books an appointment for revenge at Grady Memorial Hospital in the show's midseason finale (airing Sunday, Nov. 30 at 9/8c on AMC). The fight is led by Daryl (Norman Reedus), who is especially driven to rescue his two beloved allies — Beth (Emily Kinney) and Carol (Melissa McBride) — being held captive by the hospital's menacing police brigade. "He's ready to just burn the place down," Reedus says. "It's a different world now, and certain people have gone so dark that you have to put down the rabid ones in order to survive."

The Walking Dead: Can Anyone Be Trusted in This World?

Andrew Lincoln

As The Walking Dead lurched toward its Season 5 midpoint, multiple characters were forced to consider how much they could trust those in their company.

And, as is almost always the case, the answer was...not very much.

The Walking Dead recap: Is another war coming?

Sunday's episode featured Rick (Andrew Lincoln) & Co. planning another trip into Atlanta to rescue Beth (Emily Kinney) and Carol (Melissa McBride) from the gang at Grady Memorial  — and leaving Carl (Chandler Riggs), Judith and Michonne (Danai Gurira) behind at the church with Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam). Meanwhile, Beth did her best to keep Carol alive at the hospital and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and his group tried to pull things back together in the wake of Eugene's admission about D.C.

So, who proved trustworthy? Let's break it all down... read more

[WARNING: The following story contains spoilers from Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead. Read at your own risk.]

By the end of Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead, it became clearer what the show is most likely building toward for the midseason finale. And, naturally, it probably won't be pretty.

For the third week in a row, the show focused on a group not located with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) & Co. back at the church. In this case, the episode tracked Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) on their mission to find and rescue Beth (Emily Kinney). Their strategy.... read more

Parenthood
is almost over! What can you tease about the show's final episodes? — Raquel

Have the Kleenex at the ready for the 100th episode! "It's going to be a particularly emotional episode... [that] deals with Zeek's health," executive producer Jason Katims says. "It's an unusual episode in that it's a more compressed time frame than most of our episodes. It probably happens over 24 hours. It really is the beginning of the final movement of the series. ...  It's hopefully what will be a juggernaut toward the ending of the show."

Got any new Bones scoop? — Heather
Those of you hankering for another Bones wedding might want to keep those expectations in check. Although the subject of a marriage between Cam and Arastoo comes up again in the Nov. 6 episode, one member of the couple isn't exactly ready for a new level of commitment. Worse, that fight spills into the Jeffersonian when Arastoo's dissertation proposal is rejected by Dr. Brennan and Cam tries to change Brennan's mind. Question: I thought this might be the year when The Walking Dead would finally be represented among the Emmy nominations, at the very least for Melissa McBride as supporting actress for last season's devastating "The Grove" episode. But the noms came and went with nary a Dead mention. I thought this show was among the most-watched basic cable shows, often posting numbers to rival some of the highest-rated broadcast programs every week. I know that its genre is already one strike against it, but is this show also a victim of its own success regarding recognition, where the more popular a show is, the more it provokes attitudes from voters that "normal" people might see as snobbish or anti-populist? While it's true that the dispersal of everybody into smaller groups during the second half of last season was seen as less than successful, and the quality this season appears to have roared back with a vengeance, I'm still thinking there will probably be no difference next year, recognition-wise.
