Premise

Cameron Crowe's tribute to the collaboration between musicians Elton John and Leon Russell, who was John's mentor in the early 1970s, as they reunite after nearly four decades to record their 2010 album, "The Union," which was produced by T-Bone Burnett. The film includes appearances by Booker T. Jones, Stevie Nicks and Brian Wilson, who stop by the studio during recording sessions; and selections from Russell and John's 1970s catalogs.
