Tough but compassionate veteran cop Mike Stone and his young partner Steve Keller work the Bay Area in this Quinn Martin series. Newcomer Michael Douglas, in his only weekly TV role, received an Emmy nomination, as did his costar Karl Malden. When Douglas left the show in 1976, Richard Hatch replaced him as Stone's sidekick for the final season.
