Season 1, Episode 13
Bogus 911 calls lure cops into ambushes, making unlikely allies of Det. Mackey and Capt. Aceveda as Asst. Chief Gilroy (John Diehl) tries to play them against each other in an effort to save his own job.
Assistant Chief Gilroy reaches out to Mackey for help in covering up a hit-and-run that Dutch is investigating, while Vendrell and Lemansky follow a gunrunner with a taste for cockfights.

Mackey and the Strike Team mediate a dispute between Rondell Robinson and the Nation of Islam, while Wagenbach and Wyms investigate a home invasion in the Korean community.
Mackey helps his hooker friend Connie quit using crack cold-turkey in her desperate attempt to keep her son. Vendrell and Lemansky investigate a strip-club mugging ring, Dutch follows his instincts on a serial killer case and Danny's bitten by an HIV-infected perpetrator.
Season 1, Episode 9
A planted gun in a truckjacking case causes complications for the Strike Team, while the rift between Officers Lowe and Sofer deepens, causing Capt. Aceveda to intervene. Also: Detective Wyms faces family trouble.
Allegations against the Strike Team are front-page news, and the team is broken up pending the investigation. Mackey threatens to reveal that Officer Lowe is gay if he won't recant his statement about the Strike Team.
Mackey and Vendrell work with a detective from another squad (Carlos Sanz) in the investigation of the slaying of eight gang members at a firing range. Also, Aceveda continues to investigate Mackey's activities.
The Strike Team busts an underage prostitution ring, while Capt. Aceveda continues to investigate Mackey. Also: Dutch (Jay Karnes) works with an FBI profiler to track a serial killer.

Mackey and the Strike Team bust an Armenian gang's drug delivery, only to have the drugs---and the vehicle they're in---stolen from them. Also: Mackey learns his son is autistic.

Mackey (Michael Chiklis) attempts to broker a peace agreement between rival rappers whose feud is spilling into the streets. Meanwhile, Capt. Aceveda finds a powerful ally in “Kingmaker” Jorge Machado. Wyms: CCH Pounder.
