ABC is getting into business with Steven Spielberg.
The network has ordered a drama pilot and a comedy pilot from the blockbuster director's studio Amblin TV.
Lucky 7 follows seven employees of a Queens service station whose lives are changed in many unpredictable ways when they win a lottery jackpot. (Maybe they played the lucky Lost numbers?) The pilot was written by David Zabel (ER) and Jason Richman (Detroit 1-8-7).

Question: I rely on your advice for new shows, so is The Following worth watching? I love Kevin Bacon, but I have given up on The Mentalist because of the whole Red John thing. If they had laid that to rest when it appeared that they did, I would still be watching. It seems like this new show will be very similar, but I haven't heard enough to make a decision. Question: Fellow Hoosier here. Love your column. I don't have a question really, but wanted to express my displeasure in the fact that ABC has canceled Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. I was excited about both of these shows not only for the story lines but for the cast. I'm becoming rather weary of investing time in a show only to have it canceled. Any hope either series will be picked up by another network? OK, so maybe I had a question after all. — Bonnie
