In the series conclusion, the riders negotiate the final 61 miles, from Ventura to Los Angeles, and take part in the emotional closing ceremonies, which feature actor Peter Paige (“Queer as Folk”) and the Riderless Cycle, commemorating people lost to AIDS.
As the cyclists near the end of the ride, they begin to feel sadness because they will soon go their separate ways. Moreover, one rider discovers that she suffers from a medical complication, while another reexamines her life and marriage.
