The upcoming ABC Family series follows Chloe, played by Skyler Samuels, who learns of her new heightened abilities on her 16th birthday. Turns out the teen is part of the ancient race called Mai, the offspring of the Egyptian cat-goddess Bastet, and she possesses many cat-like qualities while maintaining her human appearance.

ABC Family has picked up its fifth scripted series of the season, Jane by Design, the network announced Tuesday.
The one-hour drama will follow Jane Quimby, a teen who lands a job at a cool retail company after they mistook for an adult. Jane, to be played by The Lake's Erica Dasher, must juggle school with her new high-powered career. Andie MacDowell will play her demanding boss Gray Chandler Murray.
