Madsen will play Russell King, a veteran criminal whose crimes require a certain flair and professional expertise. Developed by Jon Avnet and Rodrigo Garcia, WIGS (the name stands for "Where It Gets Interesting") is currently the No. 1-rated scripted channel on YouTube. The project, which was to be produced by Warner Bros. TV, has been halted due to ongoing legal pressure from Sony Pictures, according to Deadline, which first reported the news. Sony alleges the pilot is too similar to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which the company released last year with plans to further adapt the bestselling trilogy of novels into films.
