"Rolling with the Enemy" Season 3, Episode 5

Although Spencer accuses Brody of "rolling with the enemy," I feel like it's really Audrina who's keeping the wrong company. I just don't understand why she keeps giving Justin Bobby chances to break her heart. Let's review: They've been seeing each other off and on for about 2 1/2 years; Justin Bobby has a history of abandoning her, first in Las Vegas and then at Brody's BBQ; he doesn't like labels and isn't about to consent to being called Audrina's boyfriend. What exactly does Audrina find compelling about this guy? I think she's said she's not in love with him, but I think she must be to keep giving him so many chances. Or maybe she thinks she can change him. Good luck. In other couples news, Heidi and Spencer are further settling into their domestic bliss. Apparently they never go out anymore, which is pissing Brody off but benefiting Lauren. If Lauren doesn't have to worry about Heidi and Spencer, she can spend more time with Brody and the boys. But Spencer sees Brody's behavior as a betrayal. He claims that Lauren is his enemy (Really? That seems a little harsh.), and if he doesn't watch it, Brody will be his enemy, too. Grow up, Spencer. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean all your friends have to stop liking him, too. Your friends should be able to have a life independent of you, and if you start trying to control who they talk to and spend time with, they're going to start seeing you as the gestapo. Speaking of the sneaky, secret police Jen made a reappearance in this episode. She also is no longer friends with Lauren and for good reason. Jen was totally slimy with that whole Brody business last year. I think Brody deserves some of the blame, but you just don't do that sort of thing to a friend. I'm glad Lauren called her out on it. As far as what Heidi was saying to Jen about Brody spreading those rumors, I just don't know if I believe it. I feel like Heidi might say anything about Brody or anybody else when it comes to Lauren to make herself feel better. But the best part of their breakfast was when Jen called Heidi out for lying. Heidi claims she doesn't care about this whole Lauren situation, but I think we all know that's not true. Some fun places visited in this episode: " Toi. Justin Bobby got mad at Audrina for not eating during their date. Before you know it, Justin Bobby might object to the word "dating." Maybe they'll be "hanging out." I've got a word for you: lame. " Doughboys. Heidi and Jen have breakfast there and rehash stuff that happened last year. When are these guys going to move on? " Roosevelt Hotel. Lauren and Brody and the gang meet up to hang out. I like the Roosevelt but I can't afford to have a pool membership there. More power to you if you can. Thanks for all your great comments last week. My fellow TVGuider Casey Marsella brought up something I thought might be fun to discuss. Which team are you on? She's for Whitney, who I think is great, but as of right now, I think I'm for Team Lo. Who are you rooting for and why? Check out our Online Video Guide for more on The Hills and see you back here next week. show less
