"No More Mr. Nice Guy" Season 3, Episode 11

We're introduced to a few new people in tonight's episode and only one of them will be sticking around. Lauren runs into Gavin, a model she tried to set Heidi up with in the very early stages of her relationship with Spencer. And the "New Elodie" Kimberly makes her first appearance at a NASCAR staff meeting. Let's talk about Gavin for a minute - and by "talk" I mean "talk s--t." He seems like a very nice guy but I've got to agree with Brody on this: He was trying to come across as "Mr. Perfect." To me that translates into nice to the point of being boring. I'm not knocking nice guys in general. It's always nice to meet one of them. But in addition to that, it's good to have a few things in common. I just don't think that's happening for Gavin and Lauren. And can we talk about his hair for a moment? I don't want some perfectly coiffed, slicked-back, manscaped guy, but what was up with that hair? It looked like someone tried to give him a home perm and took the activator out too early. Do people still even perm their hair? Isn't that really '80s? Obviously he isn't right for our girl Lauren. She admits to Brody that there's no spark with Gavin and invites Brody over to "watch a movie." Then she asks him if it really mattered which movie it is. Nice. And at Bolthouse, New Yorker Kimberly makes her first appearance. She seems really capable with a pretty good head on her shoulders. When Heidi tries to draw Kimberly into her relationship drama, Kimberly gives her some very good advice: Talk to Spencer when you get home. Better yet, don't take calls from him at work Heidi. You know he's going to act like a big baby and whine about you not being around for your makeup anniversary dinner. Since he seems not to have a real job, he clearly doesn't understand how important Heidi's job is to her. I have to admit, I kind of like the Heidi we see here tonight - at least when she's throwing some attitude at Spencer. He's got to realize that complaining about her job and accusing her of not loving him anymore because she's got to be away from him for work is unacceptable. He's just going to drive her away. Not that I think that's a bad thing. What did you think about the episode? Did Lauren gave Gavin enough of a chance? Was Brody's behavior at the BBQ acceptable, or was he over the line? Will Heidi's job continue to be a point of contention in her relationship with Spencer? What, if anything, did you think of the new girl Kimberly?
