Longtime British TV Actor Richard Briers Dies at 79

British actor Richard Briers, who enjoyed a prolific TV career in his home country, died Sunday, BBC News reports. He was 79.

Premise: A suburban London couple give up the corporate rat race to live off the land, much to the surprise of the more traditional folks who live next door. This beloved sitcom was called `The Good Life' in the United Kingdom, but its title was changed so American audiences wouldn't confuse it with an earlier U.S. show starring Larry Hagman and Donna Mills.
