February 5, 2007: Moroccan Chicken Season 1, Episode 15

OMG! How hilarious was this episode? I've thought other weeks were funny, but never did I laugh the entire way through. And it might be a bit hard to recap, since I was laughing while taking notes. So, as I like to do now and again, I'm just going to spout off my favorite quotes from the show (you know, the adult diaper moments). The first really funny moment came at the tail end of Nicole getting angry that pizza was being thrown away, since she was on a strict diet. So after she asked the guys to make sure the pizza touched something else in the trash can and they didn't understand her, she screamed at them, "If there's pizza that's only touched the box, I'm gonna eat that son-of-a-bitch." Nicole had another great one later as the cheesesteak conversation got all phone-sexish. She asked Duncan if he got sweet or hot peppers and he told her that he got both. Then in her sexy voice she says, "I like it sweet and hot." Even Jerry Rice had some funny moments in this one, especially when Nicole was trying to convince him to keep Yonk to a piece of salmon instead of steak. Jerry said to him, "This one is on me, you don't have to bring your purse." Nice job, Jerry Rice. This was certainly one of those episodes where I didn't feel like Richie and Lina took over the whole thing. But, that's not to say the dinner party wasn't a hilarious disaster. I loved Richie whispering "sorry" to everyone as he put down the food. Maybe even better was Kat asking if they said "Moroccan" or "More Rotten." And finally, better than both of them, was Richie finally confessing the meal was terrible by saying it was "the Hitler of chicken." Ethan even got a dig in during an unrelated conversation with Kat about love when he said that Lina was "with a guy who loves her even though she does unthinkable things with chicken." That is love now, isn't it? The interesting thing now is that Benjamin (BTW, is it me, or does the name Benjamin Chow just not fit this guy?) has found the million pictures of him that Kat took. You'd think that she would have hid them, but then that would take away her drama. There was a point in the show where I thought I was getting tired of her negativity all the time, but then she was in bed with Benjamin, talking about taking her clothes off, and it was just a little too sunny. (To clarify: I'm not complaining about Lizzy Caplan possibly taking her clothes off.) Anyway, to me, this was the best episode so far. It was the first one since the stripper pole that flowed smoothly the entire time and, yes, that even means when Palmer got some screen time, too. Bring on more like this! Until next time, friends. show less
